Meet Desley Dunn
Hi, I’m Desley. I resolve disputes and disagreements so that you can get what you’re entitled to and focus on getting back to business.
Without a doubt, getting a lawyer involved settles disputes faster.
Having worked at bigger firms, I know what it’s like to be treated as just another number, and that’s why ensuring you get personal service is important to me.
Being the daughter of a builder, sibling to tradies, and the partner of a subcontractor, I understand the problems of the construction industry and I’m here to help.
With construction workers in high demand and the industry under stress, it’s more important than ever to solve problems quickly so you can get on with the job.
I’m also a proud high school dropout (yes, you read that right) and I spent a significant part of my childhood homeless and separated from my parents.
I started in law soon after leaving high school and was often peddled as a lawyer although I was “only” a paralegal. So one day I bit the bullet and headed off to uni.
I exhausted myself working three jobs to pay the bills and get a mortgage while studying full time to get the piece of paper I needed to officially be an Australian solicitor. So I know how hard you’ve worked to get to where you are and how important it is to protect what you have.
I come from a blended family that separated back when blended families weren’t common. I was homeless, a high school dropout, taken from and given back to my parents. I’m also a survivor of domestic violence and sexual abuse. So I know how hard taking the first step or making change can be.
So don’t be scared; give me a call today, I’m here to help. I’m here to help you decipher the legal system and legalese so you can move forward.
When I’m not lawyering you might find me speaking at events, providing marketing and business advisory services, or volunteering.
Otherwise, you probably won’t find me. My partner, our dachshunds, and I try to spend our downtime sleeping under the stars somewhere off the beaten track or out at sea.

Step 2: Get advice and options
Step 3: Take action
If after our meeting you want us to take charge of your case, we will provide you with a client agreement and matter plan tailored to you.
These documents set out the basis on which we will work together, the anticipated steps to resolve your matter, and estimated costs for each stage.
Once the plan is approved, we will help you navigate the matter to achieve a resolution.
